The beauty of Emma Farry’s writing is much more than skin deep. It goes straight to the heart, setting it on fire to light our inner world.” - Joy Cowley.

When you need to be reminded of your worth; when you need to feel a sense of belonging, when you need to be loved, open this book randomly and embrace the mystery of intuitive guidance.

This beautifully illustrated and designed book offers simple guidance to help us find moments of peace and connection in dark times.  It offers a way for us to bring our focus back to the present moment and back to ourselves, in small moments of stillness and reflection.

Be Love helped journalist, producer and author, Emma Farry, through hard times. The words emerged through the COVID-19 pandemic as she grieved the loss of her brother-in-law and her aunt. Later, when Emma’s home at Muriwai Beach was savaged by Cyclone Gabrielle (and her community lost two heroes and many homes to unprecedented flooding and slips) Be Love gave her strength and nourishment.

Emma took the photographs in the book whilst walking in her beautiful beach environment to soothe her own pain and to make sense of a tumultuous and often dark place. And now she is offering her words and images to the world in the hope that it will do for others what it did for her.

“This book is designed to expand self-awareness and connect you with the courage required to navigate dark and uncomfortable places, and to process difficult emotions.

“I believe that when we take time to understand ourselves and our emotions more deeply, we increase our compassion for ourselves and for our world. And I feel that compassion is what we need most urgently at this time,” Emma Farry.

Be Love offers the reader an anchor to a soft stillness, a pause.  Emma’s words offer an invitation to be present with oneself, to consider, to gain an alternative perspective, to cease judgement and find a peaceful inner place where love can be nurtured,” - Faye Gorman, Psychotherapist.

"Emma Farry is a sage for modern times. She draws directly on the spiritual traditions of her two cultures, translating them into words of comfort and advice that relieve the burdens of anxiety, perfectionism, and over-thinking that exhaust and deplete us. Thank you for continuing the precious tradition of Rumi and Gibran for new generations."
--Alexandra Tidswell, Kia Māia Bicultural Communications

"Be Love is not a book to be read from cover to cover and put aside. It is a companion that gently touches the soul and puts words together in delicate serenity. Be Love is a gift that opens the heart."
